A gift idea for high flyers : riding the Redbird

OTTAWA, December 19, 2012 – With the holidays drawing near, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum invites members of the media to come try the Redbird flight simulator, acquired earlier this year.

The Redbird is a state-of-the-art, full-motion simulator. It allows to simulate taking off and landing from nearby airports such as Rockcliffe or Gatineau, and to see the National Capital region from the sky, just as one would on board a real plane. The Redbird simulator is used by flying schools across North America.

Members of the media interested in trying their hand at flying the Redbird will have the opportunity to do so from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Please RSVP with Christina Lucas, by email at clucas@technomuses.ca, or by phone at 613-993-4243.
